The
Law of Decisions Choosing
the Good Part Luke 10:38-42 Now it came to pass, as they went, that
he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received
him into her house. [39] And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at
Jesus' feet, and heard his word. [40] But Martha was cumbered about much
serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister
hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. [41] And
Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and
troubled about many things: [42] But one thing is needful: and Mary hath
chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. Mark 10:46-52 And they came to Jericho: and as he
went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind
Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. [47] And
when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say,
Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. [48] And many charged him that he
should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David,
have mercy on me. [49] And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called.
And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he
calleth thee. [50] And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
[51] And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do
unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
[52] And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And
immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way. Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve
the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your
fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the
Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve
the Lord. Philip. 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things
are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things
are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think
on these things. |
