Little things Count Mark 12:41-44
And Jesus sat over against the treasury,
and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were
rich cast in much. [42] And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in
two mites, which make a farthing. [43] And he called unto him his disciples,
and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast
more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: [44] For all they
did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she
had, even all her living. Matthew 6:1-4 Take heed that ye do not your alms
before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which
is in heaven. [2] Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a
trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the
streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have
their reward. [3] But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what
thy right hand doeth: [4] That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father
which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. Matthew 10:42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto
one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple,
verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward. |
